Licensed Physicians and Dentists can earn the required 300 credit hours toward
the Acupuncture Certificate to practice acupuncture (300 credit hours)
The 19th Annual Intemational Symposium on Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics
will be held October 16-19, 2003 at the School of International Affairs, Dag
Hammarskjold Lounge, 420 West 118 St at Columbia University in the City of New
York.
This 4-day meeting is accredited for 40 Credit hours by the New York State
Boards for Medicine and Dentistry towards the 300-hour requirement for the
acupuncture certificate for licensed physicians and dentists in New York State.
It is also recognized for credit by many other states & countries. This meeting
is also eligible for CME Category I Credit.

The Annual International Symposium is organized by the International College of
Acupuncture & Electro-Therapeutics (permanently chartered by the University of
the State of New York) and its official journal, Acupuncture & Electro-

Acupuncture & Electro-Therapeutics Research, The International Journal
(Cognizant Communication). *Registration scholarships are available for
qualified needy applicants; medical students and pre-medical students are
invited free of charge.

Before Sept. 30, 2002: The fee for 40 credit hours from the NY State Boards of
Medicine and Dentistry towards the Acupuncture Certificate for the licensed
M.D., D.O., V.M.D., or D.D.S. in the U.S.A., Puerto Rico and Canada is $550
($600 after Sept. 30, 2002). Fellows and Members of the Int'l College pay $450
($500 after Sept. 30, 2002). Full Members (holding N.Y. State Acupuncture
Certificates) of a major acupuncture society for physicians and dentists, pay
$450. The Non-credit registration fee is $450 ($500 after Sept. 30, 2002). For
Columbia Medical Students, the symposium is Free. For Non-Columbia Medical
Students, the symposium registration fee is $250. The Registration fee for
members of ICMART or major int'l medical acupuncture societies and of the
International Association for the Study of Pain from countries outside of the
U.S.A., P.R., and Canada, or current 2-year subscribers to Acupuncture &
Electro- Therapeutics, The International Journal from outside of the U.S.A.,
Puerto Rico or Canada is $500 ($550 after Sept. 30, 2002).
